Welcome!
We invite you to join the Florida Trail Association during MLK week-end to celebrate the wintering Sandhill Cranes, endangered Whooping Cranes, wild horses, bison and more than 270 species of birds in Alachua County.
NEWS FLASH!
The Sandhill Cranes are alive and well in the fields of Gainesville and Alachua County! Hundreds of Sandhill Cranes have settled here and other nearby grasslands and prairies to give the onlooker a 'birds-eye view' of them within thirty yards. They are waiting for you to sign up for the Florida Crane and Nature Festival. PSST! The Cows to Cranes tour will give you bragging rights to the closeups on this page!
